Components of Green Stormwater Infrastructure Systems
Welcome to Maintaining Green Infrastructure Stormwater Systems, a training series created by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to create a pathway for those interested in pursuing careers in this emerging field. Each of these presentations can be viewed independently or together as a series.
This session delves more deeply into the traditional or "grey" system for managing stormwater runoff, and looks at the maintenance issues associated with bio-retention basins (often called simply rain gardens). For a look at the many benefits of "going green," check out the related videos below--and explore the rest of the site for everything you wanted to know about managing stormwater--and then some!
