Maintaining Stormwater Management Practices
Welcome to Maintaining Green Infrastructure Stormwater Systems, a training series created by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to create a pathway for those interested in pursuing careers in this emerging field. Each of these presentations can be viewed independently or together as a series.
In this session, we're getting into the nitty gritty of maintenance: looking at the system from the point where water flows into it, what's happening within, and how it flows out. We might expect these "green" techniques to maintain themselves, but trash, leaf debris, unwanted vegetation and many other variables can affect performance and need to be regularly checked.
