Soak It Up! A stormwater tree looks like a typical street tree, but it has a unique design to help it manage stormwater.
The tree is planted in a lower pit, which collects more water.
The tree's root system uses the rainwater to grow.
The underground pit is filled with soil and stone. The pit stores water, where it is slowly absorbed by the earth.
