Sustaining Green Infrastructure through Proper Landscape Management

Training Module 3: Spring and Summer Maintenance

Maintaining GSI Systems Three

This is the third Module of 5 in the Maintaining Green Infrastructure Stormwater Systems training series, created by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, to create a pathway for those interested in pursuing careers in this emerging field.

In this session, we're getting into the nitty gritty of maintenance: looking at the system from the point water flows into it, what's happening within, and how it flows out. We might expect these "green" techniques to maintain themselves, but trash, leaf debris, unwanted vegetation and many other variables can effect performance and need to be regularly checked.
